Cookie settings
A factual inventory of necessary session behavior and local browser preferences—without invented consent categories.
Necessary session behavior
Locale routing and an authenticated Supabase session may use necessary cookies to deliver the requested language and signed-in state.
- LocaleAn explicit locale route can update the locale preference cookie.
- AuthenticationAuthentication cookies are required only when account features are configured and used.
- Cookieless analyticsCookieless PostHog page views are not stored as a browser preference, and Toolars does not run advertising tracking.
Local browser preferences
Guest favorites, saved categories, and unsent tool-request drafts can live in localStorage rather than cookies.
- Browser profileThese values stay in the current browser profile unless browser software or extensions sync them.
- Narrow resetResetting them does not delete downloaded files or server-side account records.
- Refresh open tabsThe reset control removes only known Toolars local preference keys and does not sign you out; reload other open Toolars pages to refresh their in-memory indicators.
Reset local preferences
Use the local control to remove saved guest preferences from this browser. The result is reported immediately.
Clear known Toolars local preferences
Removes guest favorites, saved categories, and an unsent tool-request draft from this browser only. It does not remove authentication cookies, account records, or downloaded files. Reload other open Toolars pages afterward so in-memory favorite and category indicators reflect the cleared storage.
