PDF Rotator

Fix sideways PDF scans by rotating all or selected pages 90, 180, or 270 degrees without rasterizing content. The PDF is saved again; byte identity is not guaranteed.

How to rotate PDF pages

  1. 01

    Choose one PDF

Choose one PDF up to 30 MiB. File type and size are checked locally before the PDF engine loads; the 500-page limit and encrypted or corrupt content are checked after opening the document. Nothing is uploaded.

  2. 02

    Pick the rotation angle

Choose 90, 180, or 270 degrees under Rotation angle (clockwise). The rotation applies clockwise and stacks on any orientation the pages already carry, so a page photographed upside-down usually wants 180, while a sideways scan wants 90 or 270 — try one, and if the result is wrong, run the file again with a different angle.

  3. 03

    Set the page scope

Keep All pages selected, or switch to Selected pages and enter 1-based pages or ranges such as 1-3, 5, 7-9 in the Pages or ranges field. A page listed twice is rotated once, and a page outside the document is rejected with its number named. This is the mode for the one landscape receipt inside a portrait report — turn three pages instead of three hundred.

  4. 04

    Rotate and download

Press Rotate PDF, then save the rotated document from the result panel, which reports how many of the total pages were turned and at which angle. The download keeps your file name with -rotated appended, and the original on disk is never modified.

What PDF Rotator actually does

Scans and phone photos land in documents sideways all the time: a landscape receipt stitched into a portrait expense report, a signature page photographed in the wrong orientation, an appendix that prints rotated relative to the contract. PDF Rotator fixes the orientation for every page or just the outliers — select 3, 7-9 and the rest of the document stays exactly as it was. The work happens entirely on the device, which matters when the document is a lease, a medical form, or anything else you would rather not upload.

Common questions

What are the file limits?
One PDF up to 30 MiB and 500 pages per run. File size is checked before the PDF engine loads; page count can only be checked after the document opens. An encrypted or corrupt PDF may also be rejected.
Which angles are supported, and how do they combine?
Pages can be rotated by 90, 180, or 270 degrees clockwise. The chosen angle adds to any rotation the page already carries: applying 90 degrees to a page that was already rotated 90 degrees leaves it at 180. If you overshoot, rotating the saved result by the complementary angle restores the orientation.
Does rotating recompress or degrade the pages?
Rotation changes the selected pages’ orientation metadata without rasterizing their text, vector art, or embedded images. The PDF is saved again, so the output file and unselected pages are not promised to be byte-identical; open the download to verify its appearance.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Choose Selected pages and enter 1-based page numbers or ascending ranges such as 1-3, 5, 7-9. Repeated page numbers are collapsed, so each selected page rotates once. Other pages keep their visual orientation, but the saved PDF is rewritten and byte identity is not guaranteed.
Is the file uploaded?
No. Rotation runs fully inside the current browser tab, no account is needed, and resetting or closing the workspace discards the loaded document.
