How to give a document a scanned-paper look
- 01
Choose a PDF or image
Choose one PDF, JPEG, PNG, or WebP file up to 15 MiB. PDFs may have at most 20 pages, and decoded images at most 16,000,000 pixels. A signature check rejects mislabeled files; damaged content may still fail during decoding. DOCX is not supported.
- 02
Tune the scanner settings
Adjust Rotation from 0 to 3 degrees, Brightness from 0.75 to 1.35, Contrast from 0.75 to 1.5, Blur from 0 to 1.5 px, and Noise from 0 to 1, then toggle Black & white, Paper border, or High-resolution image as needed. The defaults already look like a decent flatbed scan. For PDF input the pages stay vector, so Blur and Black & white are disabled rather than simulated.
- 03
Convert in memory
Convert the file to a scan-style PDF. Image input uses Canvas effects and provides a preview after processing. PDF input applies vector rotation, tone, noise, and an optional border; blur and black-and-white do not apply to PDFs. Output is limited to 35 MiB.
- 04
Download and document the result
Download the PDF and open it to inspect every page. The in-page visual preview is available for image input only; PDF input shows a result summary. Copy manifest records the source name and size, output details, settings, and processing mode, but it does not certify that a physical scan took place.
