How to add a caption to an image
- 01
Choose the image
Select Choose local image and open a PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 12 MiB, at most 4,096 pixels per side and 16,000,000 pixels in total. SVG input is refused deliberately, and a built-in sample is available for exploring the controls before you commit a real photo.
- 02
Write the caption
Enter 1–180 characters in Caption text. Newlines set boundaries between source lines, while surrounding and repeated whitespace is normalized. Long source lines may wrap again to fit the image; inspect the rendered-line count after export.
- 03
Place the text
Position puts the caption at the Top, Center, or Bottom of the image; Alignment sets Left, Center, or Right within the caption bar. Bottom-center is the classic choice for screenshots; top placement keeps faces and footers clear.
- 04
Style the overlay
Set Font size from 12 to 180 px, Safe padding from 0 to 160 px, the Text and Caption bar colors, and Bar opacity from 0 to 1. If the caption cannot fit, the renderer says so instead of clipping it — lower the font size or the padding and render again.
- 05
Render and download
Press Render caption to composite the overlay with local Canvas, then Download captioned PNG at the source's full dimensions. The result panel reports how many caption lines were rendered, which is a quick check that your line breaks landed as intended.
