How to pick a color from an exact pixel

Choose the image
Select Choose file — or drop the image onto the zone — and open a PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 12 MiB, at most 8,192 pixels per side and 24,000,000 pixels in total. The image opens inside this tab with its dimensions confirmed; nothing is uploaded.

Set the coordinates
Enter whole-pixel values in Pixel X and Pixel Y, starting at 0 on the left and top edges — or follow the workspace tip and click the source preview to set both coordinates at once. Clicking maps back to the exact source pixel, so the displayed size of the preview never changes what you read.

Read the pixel
Press Pick pixel. The tool draws one coordinate of the decoded image to a 1 × 1 Canvas and reads its RGBA channels; it does not average neighboring coordinates. The browser’s decoding and Canvas color or alpha handling can differ from bytes in the original file. An out-of-bounds coordinate is rejected before drawing.

Copy the color
The result shows HEX, rgb(), and rgba() for the sampled Canvas pixel. Clicking the swatch copies only its HEX value, which omits opacity; use the text result or Download to retain rgba() and the other values in a small text file.
