How to generate an organic SVG blob

  1. 01

    Set the canvas size

Enter Width and Height as whole numbers from 64 to 4,096 pixels; the canvas is capped at 16,000,000 pixels in total. Match the size to where the asset will live — a hero backdrop wants a wide canvas, an avatar decoration a square one.

  2. 02

    Shape the geometry

Anchor points (4–16) sets the complexity, Irregularity (0–0.9) the wobble, and Smoothness (0–1) the roundness. Reproducible seed (1–99,999) freezes the randomness: the same seed and settings always produce the same blob, which makes a shape easy to recreate or share as a handful of numbers.

  3. 03

    Style fill, outline, and background

Pick a Blob color as a six-digit hex value, enable Outline and set Outline width from 0 to 32 pixels for a stroke, and either keep Transparent canvas on or choose a Canvas color. The preview updates with every change, and invalid values are flagged in place rather than exported.

  4. 04

    Export the asset

Copy SVG puts the exact source on the clipboard for pasting into markup, while Download SVG and Download PNG export the vector or a raster render at the chosen canvas size. The SVG stays a single compact path, so it is cheap to inline on a page.

What SVG Blob Generator actually does

A hero section needs a soft organic shape behind the headline, a testimonial card wants a blob in the exact brand color, a pitch deck needs three variations that clearly belong to the same family. With a shared seed and one tweaked slider, the three siblings take minutes: same canvas, same anchors, irregularity nudged from 0.3 to 0.5. SVG Blob Generator makes that a two-minute job with seeded, reproducible geometry — and since no shape values leave the page, the exploration stays private by design.

Common questions

What does the seed do?
The seed makes the blob geometry deterministic. With the same seed and shape controls, the outline can be recreated. SVG text need not be byte-identical across locales because the exported accessibility title is translated; compare the path when geometry matters.
How do I make a matching family of blobs?
Two recipes work well. Keep the seed fixed and vary one control — irregularity or smoothness — for siblings that clearly share a silhouette. Or keep every control fixed and change only the seed for a set of different shapes with identical character. Both stay reproducible because the geometry is deterministic.
Why are my values rejected?
Every control is bounded: 4–16 anchor points, irregularity 0–0.9, smoothness 0–1, outline width 0–32 pixels, six-digit hex colors, and a canvas from 64 to 4,096 pixels per side within 16,000,000 pixels total. Out-of-range input is refused with the valid range named, and the preview waits for valid controls rather than rendering a broken shape.
What does Transparent canvas change?
With it on, the SVG background is left empty, so the blob floats over whatever sits behind it on the page and the PNG export keeps real transparency. Turn it off and pick a Canvas color to bake a solid background rectangle into both the SVG and the PNG — useful when the asset is headed for a tool that composites poorly over nothing.
SVG or PNG export — which should I pick?
Download SVG keeps the shape as a compact vector that scales cleanly in design tools and web pages. Download PNG rasterizes the current output at the exact canvas size, which suits slide decks, documents, and tools that do not read SVG.
Do my designs leave the browser?
No. Generation, preview, and export all happen locally in this tab; no shape values, colors, or seeds enter storage, logs, or the network, and no account is required.
