How to convert an SVG to PNG safely
- 01
Choose the SVG file
Select Choose file and open an .svg file up to 2 MiB, identified as image/svg+xml. The markup is parsed locally and the raw SVG is never embedded in the page — the preview you see is generated from the sanitized form only. SVG to PNG Converter: Paste or choose local SVG source. SVG: 2 MiB; 8,192 px; 24 MP.
- 02
Review the sanitization
A strict allowlist strips scripts, event handlers, external references, and unsupported constructs before rendering, and the workspace reports how many unsafe or unsupported items were removed. A non-zero count is worth a look: it tells you the file carried more than plain geometry. 0.01–32×; Output width / Output height.
- 03
Pick the export scale
Choose 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x under PNG export scale. The output must stay within 8,192 pixels per side and 24,000,000 pixels in total, so a large SVG may only fit at a lower scale — the workspace names the limit instead of clipping the render. 0.01–32×; Output width / Output height. Inputs and results stay in memory in this browser tab.
- 04
Convert and download
Press Sanitize & convert. The sanitized vector is rasterized on a local Canvas with high-quality scaling, and the result panel shows the exact pixel size before you save the PNG, so the file you download is never a surprise in dimensions or weight. Sanitize & convert: Preview the exact PNG and download the same local bytes. 8,192 px; 24 MP. Inputs and results stay in memory in this browser tab.
